Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is a major Australian university with a global outlook and a 'real-world' focus. With around 50,000 students, including approximately 9000 international students from more than 120 countries, QUT maintains close links with business representatives and industry professionals who contribute to course development and lend practical perspectives to students¡¯ theoretical education. As a multi-campus institution, QUT accommodates an internationally and nationally awarded Science and Engineering Centre which incorporates one of the world¡¯s largest and most advanced digital interactive learning and display spaces (The Cube). 2016 saw a major expansion of the Creative Industries Precinct while the new Education Precinct opened in 2019. The university has two major thematically focused research institutes: The Institute for Future Environments and the Institute of Health and Biomedical Innovation. Additionally, QUT leads seven nationally endorsed research centres including the ARC Industrial Transformation Training Centre in Additive Biomanufacturing and the ARC Centre of Excellence in Robotic Vision.
